Last Century Techology

We were coming from town and came across this scene a couple of kilometers from home.  Just a dozen people coming together to practice the old crafts on a Sunday.  No publicity, no fuss.

Cute Spectator and doggie

  1. Every year there are huge international competitions. And those trophies are coveted. Coveted in the old testament meaning, not the wishy-washy new one where Paris covets Lindseys toe-ring.

  2. What a neat get-together! I don't think I've ever seen a yoke on oxen before. It's amazing to see how folks used to farm in the old days.

On one TV channel here, there is a program called 'Vintage Country Ways' which shows old tractors and combines, from 1940s-1960s, that cut and wrap sheaves of wheat. It's fascinating to watch.
